Trousers Here are some examples of trousers I made. Click the picture to enlarge the image.
Hakama/Japanese wrapped pants A hakama is a particular sort of pants you wrap around yourself, once worn in Japan. The hakama is very wide and the legs touch the ground. When you stand still with your legs together, one can hardly see it’s a trouser at all. The original hakama has a very low hanging crotch (at knee height), but for practical reasons I tend to make that a lot higher. The upper part of the hakama is tapering, so a part of the top of the hakama is open. Japanese used to wear a kosode (short sort of wrapped jacket) and put that in the hakama, and it was visible through the open part on the top.
This hakama is especially made for ‘Stichting Kederan’ for their Japanese setting. A trouser like this is available at approximately: €80,- Wrapped pants
This sort of trouser resembles the hakama, but it does not taper. The legs are open, so when you walk your legs might be visible. This airy trouser is very comfortable to wear, especially during the hot summer. It can be used by men and women!
A trouser like this is available at approximately: €65,-
